I am from Lima, Peru.  I came to the United States in 1983 and lived in Los Angeles for many years.  I obtained a Bachelors in Spanish from California State University, Northridge.  I have worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District and Pflugerville ISD where I have had the opportunity to instruct a diverse group of middle and high school students.  I obtained my Masters Degree in Spanish from Universidad Pontíficia de Salamanca.

I am a mother of two girls, both of them attending to The University of Texas.  I have just celebrated my 23rd anniversary with my husband, who has been proud to be a Lizard for the last nine years!  I am proud to join him as a Lizard!  Go C. D. Fulkes!
